Opel is coming – Ebbett land two new dealerships

European giant, Opel, is launching in New Zealand towards the end of 2022 and we are delighted to announce that Ebbett has been appointed as the official dealer in Hamilton and Hawkes Bay.
Opel, owned by General Motors from 1929 right up to 2017, will be a familiar face to many New Zealanders. They sell over 1m cars per year globally and deliver precision German engineering and an adventurous spirit in a straightforward manner. The brand feels purpose built for the Kiwi market.
NZ buyers can expect an accessible price point to a top European make with a strong, innovative range of great-looking vehicles and robust sustainability credentials.
The Opel range launches with several variants across small, SUV, and large vehicles, all qualifying for rebates in the Government’s new Clean Car Programme (minimum rebate will be $1510 on an internal combustion engine), and every range includes plug-in variants, which are eligible for Clean Car Discounts of up to $8625.
Opel is a progressive brand with a strong EV pipeline of stock heading our way in the next few years. Combining European engineering and a design-led approach, ranges such as the contemporary crossover SUV “Mokka” are tipped to make a big impact on the market when they arrive.
Opel will initially feature in our new Hamilton showroom on Te Kowhai East Road and in Hastings at Ebbett Hawkes Bay, both expected to open in the last quarter of 2022.
